Hi! I am Shaon. I am a Software Engineer currently pursuing MTech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT, Hyderabad.

I love to code and am passionate about continuosly learning and upgrading my skills. I also love music, playing badminton and travelling!

I grew up in the city of Kolkata, India where I have completed my schooling, graduation and also gathered some experience as a professional developer.

I did my schooling from St. Teresa's Secondary School after which I went on to complete my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology.

During my Bachelors, I have worked on some projects including Design of an Efficient Comparison Free Hardware Sorter, Software Management System projects like Inventory Management System using web development technologies. We were also able to publish a paper on the Compare-Free hardware sorter design in IEEE VLSI Symposium 2019.

While pursuing my bachelors, I had also gotten the oppurtunity to take part in Smart India Hackathon and Bengalathon where we had worked on designing a chat bot to help tourists find cost effective packages.

After my Bachelors Degree, I started working in Bentley Systems as an Associate Software Engineer and then Software Engineer 1.

During my work experience, I had gathered knowledge on various technologies including React.js, Typescript, C#, .Net, C++ and design principles related to both Web and Desktop Development and had also got the chance with multiple teams on 5 different projects some of which were related to Digital Twins.

Had got the opportunity to work with the AssetWise Energy Infrastructure team on projects based on the iTwin.js platform. My work involved tasks related to development, deployment, and testing. Technologies used: React.js, Typescript, Node.js, iModel.js, Electron, C#, .Net, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Mocha, Chai Sinon.

During the onboarding program, I had got the chance to work on four projects including STAAD.Pro, MicroStation, AssetWise Common Services, and PlantSight. During this time, I have worked on tasks related to the development and testing of both web and desktop-based applications involving technologies like React.js, Redux, Typescript, Node.js, Javascript, HTML, CSS, C#, .NET Core, WPF, and C++. Also, the training and the project work helped me gain knowledge in using S.O.L.I.D. principles, Design Patterns and other best practices during development.
